A visual and musical epic quest for the meaning of life

'I know it all and yet I know nothing.'

Faust possesses all the knowledge in the world but cannot fill the immense emptiness she feels. We waste our youth on school benches to learn what life is, only to get lost with a head full of trivia in a life that makes no sense at all and where adults act like complete teenagers. Desperately searching for answers, Faust allows herself to be seduced by the Devil. Together they set off on a quest through what life has to offer. In exchange for her soul, Faust tastes everything that is human: lust, love, power, life and death. How do you fill the emptiness?

Theater arsenaal, DE MAAN and deCompagnie rework the classic Faust story into a visual and musical epic quest for the meaning of life.

FAUST is a unique encounter between an ensemble of world-class classical musicians, the dazzling visual language of puppet theatre DE MAAN and the typical Lazarian cocktail of humour and drama, brilliant literary talent and immodest vulgarity.

For an audience of 15 and up and at least as much for everything above that. Because we are all desperately searching for meaning.
